Tire sizes

Just a question to all of you what is the widest tires you can fit on a mk4 jetta with 18's ? i ask this because currently i think my rims are too wide for my tires, as the lip of the rim sticks out further than the rubber of the tire does. that or it is just the tires i have a really stiaght side wall. this is a problem cause i can't even touch a curb with out effing my wheels

that looks just like mine, and im runnin 225's on 8s i agree it looks good. you just can't let the wifey paralel (sp) park

I think 225 on an 8 is fine, some tires stretch more than others but you need to be careful parking no matter what with 18s!!
