          Re: k&N

Alright guys, so i have done some looking around for these and there hard to get your hands on. But i had some more questions. Do i wanted the oiled ITG foam filter? Or is the one i want called the Mega Flow ITG filter? Also what do you guys think of the itg short ram intake with the heat sheld thingy with the rubber seal on top. I believe the filter is oiled.

            Re: k&N

If the problem with the K&N is the oil, you won't want an oiled ITG.

This is the one I believe:

            http://www.parts4vws.com/catalog/pro...rtNumber=WB568

Should be close to 100 bucks, and goes in the stock airbox. If you just want a filter on a stick, go to C1 and buy whichever one looks the prettiest, or sounds the loudest. They really don't do much for 1.8Ts.

              Re: k&N

i've run k&n for about 40000km ish, but i think i'll be swapping it out for a good paper one. I didnt have any problems with it, but after reading a bunch (here and other sites) , I think I'm siding with Geoff. The paper one will go back in, and I'll clean up the K&N for a K&N buff, I know lots of people who swear by them.
