  • Replacing headlight bulbs

One of my headlights has gone out and I can't justify a trip to the dealership to get this done. How hard is it to swap out the bulbs? I had a hell of a time with my girlfriend's Cherokee's lights, so if it's a major pain like that I might consider biting the bullet and making a service appt.

Its not too hard. Pop the cover off the inside, unscrew the retainer clip, and pull the old bulb. Reverse to install. Just make sure you don't touch the bulb.

If it is drivers side, the battery makes it REALLY tight. Hope you have small hands.

If it is on the drivers side just take the battery out. It will save you a headache and possible broken clips in the long run.
