Short Antennas...

Anybody notice crappy reception with the install of a shorter antenna? Just wondering if the "looks" payoff outweighs the reception downage?

my reception with the stock one was crap, same with my stubbie. i don't listen to the radio that much to really care though.

My stubby is no different - reception is fine. Did you get the TT cell phone one? I'd even check that it's plugged in.

i have that stubby billet one that c1 sells, it might not be connected but ill adress that when i install my kenwood deck

Any opinions on what looks best? I can't seem to find one on the C1 website. Here're two possibilities...which is better? Any other ideas/pics?

The reception in the city is the same, in the mountains it's not so good, but I don't think it was great to begin with.

FM reception is about the same. AM is noticeably worse, especially when you're around a lot of tall buildings, but i can't remember what hte reception was like with the stock antenna.

No difference with mine (at least in the city). Go with a re-threaded VW Sharon antenna. Best looks, plus OEM.

I have the enfig "s2000 look" antenna and it works just as good as the stock antenna. I paid a little more than the common shorty antenna's, but I think it was worth it.

Plus, it matches the base of the antenna unlike the actual s2000 antennas.

Anyone heard anything about using the Hummer H2 short antenna? I'm having troubles finding any info. about them...
