I just want to thank Peter for installing a new Forge 007 diverter valve in my car. It seems to be running smoothly and beautifully, and definitely looks stronger than the plastic oem one we took out.
Peter: I took off my engine cover this morning, and indeed it HAD been rubbing on the top hose. There is a worn mark on the hose and likewise the plastic on the inside of the engine cover is worn! I don't want it to rub a leak into the hose eventually, so I hacked it by putting a tiny piece of duct tape onto the hose so hopefully the tape gets the friction instead of the rubber hose. I also dobbed a bit of lithium grease on to maybe help it. I'll check it in a few days.
If anyone is thinking of getting a diverter valve, I ordered mine through Texas Speedworks for $180CAN ($135US) including shipping (FedEx charged $10 tax upon arrival). It came in about 3 days.
