What are you doing for tuning?

I have been going back and forth from upgrading my Stage 3 (GT28r) to either the 28rs or the 2871r.. cant decide though.. more like APR vs. Unitronics software...

update ...... this is the least bolt onturbo i have ever seen .....i spent two days fabing an intake to work . the setu they gave me was crap . and dont et me wrong here the casting part was beautiful . the feed lines were kick ass. . and im not green to wrenches , i am a vw tech and lng timemodifier .(my last car was a turbo charger with a holset on it mega fabing ) but they gave me these crappy hoses to run an intake and some spacers to raise the shifter . but it was all crap . so i made a temporarry intake from some weld els and it seems to work . but it isnt big enuf , i think if you spend 2200 us on a "bolt on turbo ........ god damit it should include a samcoish hose for the intake to maximise flow. ...anyways it spools buy 4000 but it will get better when i get the eo1 on it . my greedy front mount will be here soon . and the rieger kit as well .
i try to come down for your meetings but i live in red deer and you wont change the meet nights to friday ....... i run a multi brand club here as well called creations . i will be down there for sport compact nights in may

my gt2x was very bolt-on, aside from the intake! I managed to STRETCH my forge inlet pipe over it, but it's not pretty. Boo to ATP for delaying their inlet pipes!

how does it perform.. (the gt2x)? the 2871r is soooo lagy but when i get an exaust on it should be better and some more fuel . i am sure it will really kick in... right now it acctually feels slower than stock . i will have some new pics up n a day . i made a huge intake and got my shift linkage un spaced so it works like stock now . atp just released ther ownhigh flow intake but i dont thnk it can flow more than the one i made ....

No offense to anyone here....

But the one bad thing I see coming from trh ATP stuff is people buy their kits without having the full supporting mods because they are so affordable...
ie. People om Audizine have the full GT28rs or 287ir yet no exhaust/suspension etc...
To get the full potential out of these kits you need the full support... not much else to be said about that..

yes but the way i do things is get the big money items out of the way then evrything else is more easy to get

gt2x drives GREAT. Supporting mods include a 2.5" dp+cat

It's very drivable...247whp, 230ft-lbs (previous chipped dyno was 202/196). It's about 500rpm laggier than stock, but once i'm at 3500-4000rpm this thing screams vs. a k03s.

I'm not looking for a race car or dyno queen...just wanted more oomph out of a daily driver, and yet I can still give the keys to my wife if I have too .
