so 9/10 cars that i see on the roads driving with only one head lights working are golfs... old, new.. doesnt matter.. so is there is a reason behind it or its just coincidence?

    Re: Golf head lights

You need to remove the front bumper to change the bulb in the headlight, as there isn't enough room. Since you can't just pop the hood and swap bulbs, some people are either scared to take off the bumper, don't know how, or don't want to pay the dealership to do it for them.

That's my guess. Anyone have ideas why people don't replace their burned out brake lights? Lots of Golfs I see with only one brakelight and it's a 30 second fix

Yea Ive knowticed this as well same with the beatles. My Mk4 was a pain i think ive replaced the head lights 5 times and at least 10 bulbs on the back side. And if your taking your bumper off to replace the head lights your wasting your time. Its a tough job and your hands get scraped up a bit but it is possiable. The first time i did it it was hard but once you figure out which way to turn the bulb and find the little tab cut out on the assy it;s not to bad. any one know why the burn out so easily?
