Lookin Good! That last pic is crazy........

I washed mine yesterday.... but didn't have time to wax. What do you use to apply and rub in the wax? Just a 100% cotton towel?
Sidewalks are for normal walkin.... aint no room for fancy walkin....

Here is the system I used if anyone is curious.

Step 1: Clean the car very well. I did this at a local wand-style DIY wash, with lots of soap and lots of rinsing.

Step 2: Dry the car with a very large towel. Make sure its totally dry with no water spots.

Step 3: Clay bar. I can't emphasize this step enough. I used Mothers California Gold clay bar plus Mothers Showtime Instant Detailer for this step. Because its so hot out, I used the entire bottle of the detailer while doing the clay bar. If you have never used a clay bar before, its very easy. You just spray on the detailer, rub the clay back and forth 5 or 6 times, then wipe off the detailer with a 100% cotton terry towel.

Step 4: Wipe the car down to make sure there are no water spots from the clay bar step. By now it should be very smooth and shiny.

Step 5: Remove scratches and swirls. This is a good time to look for little scratches or swirls and try to get rid of them. I tried using Meguiars and Mothers products but they both didn't work too well. I guess I got rid of a few of the minor swirls... Next time I will try 3M scratch remover.

Step 6: Wax. I used Mothers California Gold 100% Carnauba liquid wax. I invented my own application procedure after experimenting on a few sections. First, I pour a loonie-sized amount on a cotton terry-towel. Then I apply the wax to the car, in little swirling motions. After letting the wax dry, I *lightly* rub off the excess with a second terry towel. This second terry towel gets pretty dirty, so then I have a third towel to actually buff off the last remaining wax.

I bought all my towels and products at Parts Source. They have a HUGE wall of stuff at fairly good prices. For instance, I got 8 perfect sized 100% cotton terry towels for around $5. They have Zymol products there too, which I did not buy but I think people have asked about it in the past.

I guess thats the whole system. It takes a LONG time. I now look like a lobster from too much sun.

Nice work Kor but you should do this in the shade or inside then no sunburn and I think it is a little easier.
