Ok, someone who's sat in a MKV, did they really design the doors so that snow doesn't fill your car every time you open the door? Every time I've opened my door for the last two weeks I've covered the seat with snow...grrrrr.

Re: MKV Door Opening in Snow vs MKIV
that happens on my truck also.
from the experience I have learned to wipe the snow off the door line before opening it.
I know it means you may have to do some work before getting into your vehicle but it actually works.....or get a place with a garage.put.......put.......

Originally posted by kuhlihaha, yes that had occurred to me...rain? My question was whether or not the design is improved...

Re: MKV Door Opening in Snow vs MKIV
I've never had a car where so much snow gets in every time I open the door. Even if I brush off the edge of the door before opening it, snow STILL gets in.
On my old scooby, the roof would overhang the doors slightly. I never had to brush any snow away before opening them... on my 951, same idea. Yet, on my brand new, recently designed VW, it just dumps snow in the car...
Brilliant.
