  • Pics and Review of the new ride!!

    Since I've been 16 years old, I have always owned a Volkswagen. My VW's include;

    1994 Volkswagen Jetta GL (First modded MKIII Jetta in Calgary back in the day)
    1999 Volkswagen Jetta GL
    1999 Volkswagen Jetta GLS VR6
    2002 VW GTI 1.8t
    2002 Audi A4 1.8t
    2002 VW Jetta GLI 24V VR6

    So buying something non-vw was tough. My primary reluctance probably had to do with large part not being part of the VW community. I know I haven't been an active member recently, but believe me I frequent the NVD website and the Vortex regularily. But I realized that I can still be passionate about VW's, but just not drive one.

    Now on to the car;

    First here are the pics. These pics were taken during delivery, the only planned mods for this car are window tint.

    Car has sport package (which gives it 18" wheels, sport suspension, and the sweetest seats ever, they even have electric adjusting side bolsters)and the car has premium package (Dakota leather, Logic 7, and a bunch of other stupid stuff that should be standard)

    The car is absolutely amazing. There is no question the car handles like a dream. If you have never driven a 3 series BMW with a sport package, its worth giving it a try. My 3 series, far outhandles my 99 Jetta VR6 with H&R Coilovers, outhandles my 2002 GTI with FK coilovers, and handles better than my 2002 Audi A4 1.8T.

    The interior is a little bland in this car, personally I liked my Audi interior better, however, the quality, fit and finish are awesome.

    Well, that's it for now, I welcome comments!!!

    Beautiful, beautiful car!

    I must admit I always liked the 3 series, but love the changes to the latest and greatest model. Those wheels with the sport package are unbelievable for a factory wheel. I truly believe there isn't a bad viewing angle for this car - one of the finest looking sedans produced imho.

    I had given some thought to picking one up about a month ago, but got scared away by the "all-in" price on a loaded 330 being over 60K - and I couldn't get those awesome wheels on the AWD "xi" model.

    Enjoy!!!

      After seeing the car in person last week all I have to say is wow.
      The wheels really set the car off IMO, really fill the wheel wells nicely. I love the clean look of the car, no BS rub strips to shave/worry about.

          I can't believe I forgot. I'll take some more in depth photos of the interior as well.

          But the its 330i, with the new 255 hp 3.0l. It's really hard to explain exactly, but when you drive the car, the feel of the pedals, the shifting, its simply amazing.

                Very nice, congrats. My father just purchased a 330xi, still on its way, should be here in about 2 weeks. They're great cars and I can't wait to take his for a spin.

                  Nice choice on the E90. but only window tint?

                  I think that will change once some of the new rim designs start coming from some of the big companies......you'll mod, they ALL do.

                    Grats on the car vol, now dont become a car-snob and ignore the VW's.

                        Is that one of those keys you just push into the ignition to start? My moms 2006 passat has one of those and its pretty damn neat to not have an actual "cut" key.

                          The newer volvos have that too, its a key but its like a plastic cylinder with all the encoding inside. Very cool

                            leave it up to the germans to push new key technology I guess. American brands still dont use reverse-cut keys like our Mk4's.
