Will pick up GTI, some questions?

i just ordered the 2007 gti, candy white, basic model just with sunroof. It's on the way here from Halifax, and it will take two weeks at most. I think this is the "longest" two weeks ever in my life.

Also I have some questions for you guys:This is my first time buying a brand new car, is there any "tips" should I to know when I pick up the car?

When you drive it for the first 1500 kms, don't stay at a constant RPM. You need to always be changing the rmp, go 1000, then rev to 6000 then back down. That's why they forbid the use of cruise control. You want a good variation of engine speeds during breakin.

make sure it was PDI'd properly and you get all the little knick knacks that are supposed to be in the car like coin holders,etc..
