stereo problem?

  • stereo problem?

    so i was cruisin down deerfoot today and then bam, all the speakers stop working and all that works is a tweeter, and sounds like complete ****. anyone know what might have happened?
    BTW, its an aftermarket deck....

    wiring harness loose? there isnt a lot of room behind an aftermarket deck.. if everything was just mashed back there, something might be push/pulled on the wrong way.

    if its more then one speaker, id say wireing harness as opposed to a broken wire somewhere.

          I'm no stereo expert but sounds like your deck crapped the bed. Time to put the OEM one back in...

            todd.. check the connection to the brain unit in the trunk and make sure it's tight.. removing the avic is a bit of a pita.. you may be able to get to the harness by pulling out the shelf..

              i looked behind the deck, it looks fine, ill check the trunk tommorrow, but would the brain in the trunk mess up the sound? or is it just for the gps?

                the brain is needed for any deck operation so if the deck won't even boot up it's because the brain isn't connected up properly..

                  it all looked fine to me, but im taking in to a stereo shop, so they can fix it
