Car swapping question...

So heres the low down
Guy wants to trade cars, but IM not sure how we go about doing the paper work.

Is it as simple as both of us swapping registration?

Do we need to still do a Bill of sale?
Minus making sure the car has no liens and is not stolen, is there anything else that we/I should be doing?

yeh do a carfax check...
or a search at any registry...

and fill out a bill of sale just to be on the safe side
