*EDIT* Looks like it's my water pump impellor. Off to the dealership I go!
Today my temperature warning light began flickering and chiming. The guage was in the red up at 130 degrees!
I turned my heater on full to try and dissipate some of the heat and pulled over to check things out. No leaking coolant, fluid levels all in check, no irregular "hot smell" and everything seemed fine.
Get back in my car and the temp guage has dropped down to about 110 so I drive at a slower pace.
Weird. But everything seems fine now.
What could be causing this? I'm hoping it's just a faulty sensor, but I've also noticed for the last couple of days that the heater inside the car doesn't seem to be blowing air as hot as it usually does. The difference is a little negligable - whereas before I could 'burn' my hand if left in front of the heater for too long, I could leave it there all day now without the slightest hint of 'burn'.
Does anyone have an ideas?
Thanks!
