Just a question for anyone who's experienced with the whole sweetgrass process...

I've been quoted $845CDN to ship to Calgary, and $825CDN to ship to Montana. Are the savings on brokerage and whatnot going to make the trip worth it? I won't be going alone, myself and a couple other guys are going to make it a trip with a uhaul, to pick up seats, wheels, and anything else anyone wants...

    Thanks ahead of time guys!
I'd like to make a statment!

I am not 100% sure, but brokerage fees on seats alone are probably astronomical. So yes, it probably is worth it. Especially if you are picking other stuff up as well. I am sure someone on here has first hand experience though....

ups brokerage is by value of package.. usually 50-60$ if you have several packages, it can add up fast.

By the time you rent a Uhaul & drive down there & back, you may not have saved any money.

If you & some pals have a bunch of stuff coming through, you can either try to send it via USPS or FedEx which typically have lower brokerage fees, or contact a customs broker. Basically as long as you avoid UPS, you will be getting a better deal.

I'm only personally paying for the coilovers. So would it be smarter for me to pay the extra 20$ or not?

The UHAUL is just going to be a trailer, which I believe will cost us somwhere around 15$ for the day

That price doesnt seem quite right.... for my exhaust there was a $80usd difference.. then the brokerage crap. I think you should look at the shipping, should be cheaper then that. If it isnt, call UPS right when they ship and tell them you will clear customs yourself.. deosnt take that long, but you have to call before they do it!

Check Beyond for more info (Z_Fan I believe)

When I picked up my wheels there last July I only paid the tax on the item. There were to brokrage fees, just tax.

There was also a holding fee of $5, that was for four wheels + tires, they wre there for 2 days.
