Any insurance company recommendations?

I just got my renewal papers from allstate and its a crock. They want $2200/yr even though I was paying $1100/yr last year, just because I live downtown. And thats even taking into account that my last accident has finally expired this year (more than 6 years ago.)

So anyone have any recommendations for good auto insurance?

I just posted about this topic a few weeks ago. I got the best quote from Meloche Monnex http://www.melochemonnex.com who are associated with TD bank. It was really cheap for me, and they gave me a discount for being a university grad too. If you get any discounts anywhere through work, school or unions its worth investigating (I formerly was elidgable for a good discount while a member of the AUPE union).

I deal with Meloche Monnex also. They've been really good even when I was switching cars every 2 months and needing quotes, etc. They are by far the cheapest I've found. I was originally eligible through ASET and even though I am no longer a member, they let me stay with them.
