Looking for opinions on ASA wheels. Aleks, you said they tend to bend easy. im just trying to find somebody who has had them. They seem not TOO bad. They have a 1 piece mesh type wheel for 220US at Tirerack that looks ok. They are licenced by BBS... i don't know what this means, and am sure is mostly marketing, but they seem to have a good reputation for manufacturing quality control. anyway....

Hey silverfire..... those axis wheels looked good on you car. wish CMS still had some!

I had ASA wheels a few years back on a 91 Golf and never had any problems. They looked good and seemed pretty durable - I never had any problems with bending. They were a little heavy, though. But basically I have nothing bad to say about them.

I was going to buy the AR1s for my GTI but got a good deal on some used Aristo's instead.

says 24.3lbs for 18" AR1's. Not sure how that compares to the axis ones i was looking at.

Just to give you an idea for comparison, my 19" Axis Neo's weigh 26lbs each.

                    there's always "buy it now"..

yeah, i've been pm-ing him a bit. i asked about the pentas, actually, and yes... no 18's. I see Jaz has a knockoff, but it seems to be black only. If i buy new it will be 18" for sure. if an exceptional deal comes up on 19"s i may go for it though.

Yeh the ASAs I have seem OK to me quality wise. I actually just got mine from T-rack.

i found some ok pics. i kinda like the contrast of gunmetal/silver. and those ones on vortex have rubber, which is nice.

** think the tire diameter is a little small....
