I see the dual zone climatronic in pictures for both EU and US models, but can't find anything about it in the PDF document on the Canadian model. Does anyone know if Canadian GTI's will see the dual zone climatronic?

no climatronic2?? gay, the cheap base model golf i rented in germany even had it! lol. it works nice, but the lcd on it looks crappy cause its really big numbers, so looks like its a toy for kids... should be higher resolution.

The US gets Climatronic?!

Still no word on Canadian pricing, and I was told yesterday the 4 doors wouldn't be here till September sometime (sucks).

There also seems to be some confusion as to where they are made too, some of the Vortex guys say Germany, sales people say Mexico (both MK5's)

ya i though the GTIs were made in germany like back in the day, and the golfs, jettas etc are done in Mex...that could be hear-say...but form what I read they will do the first year or 2 of the GTIs in germany and then move the plant to mexico to save some $$

VIN numbers, starting with a 3 is mexico and a W is germany.

GTI will come from Germany for two years
Jetta is made in Mexico

Just like the mk4's. Also, we're supposed to get launch control(on dsg) in '07.
