saw it in vortex said it could be done... maybe i should ask for a firment guarantee..
the wheels that i am getting is 19X8.5... +ET35. so i think the wheels are going to stick out by an extra 15mm?? (becasue stock is +ET50)

are you sure your ET is 50?? that doesn't seem right. Maybe ask VWsalesguy as he's put wheels on his mk5.
This is probably too late and of little importance but the A3 offset is 56 so I wouldn't be surprised if the mk5 is the same.
