Thanks for all the help guys. I'll probably end up starting with new bulbs first. We're getting some new Perelli winter carving tires, so that's pretty much using up the budget for the car this year. Maybe eventually we'll get some HIDs. Also, any suggestions on starter mods for performance? And any suggestions on how to start learning about the this stuff myself (ie: Modding your Jetta for dummies).
no its just the lens, they all use 4300 HID i think it is...
Light Temperature This explains why some light is blue and some seems to be yellow. It is not the lens.

Word, higher temp (K refers to kelvins, T(K) = 273.15 + t(C)) = more blue. The light seems to change color when you look at different angles as well but that is because of the projector.
Bart, I expected you to know this considering you sell OEM HIDS
all OEMs are pretty much 4300k as bart stated tho and I agree I think its the lense that helps with the color because i've personally messed with my lenses in my OEM hids and changed the cutoffs and the color slightly changes..i do know my lights look a bit better when 'warming up' they are sorta more blueish but then turn whitey blue i guess once going.. either way HIDs or bust

dont really sell them... anyway, i'm sticking to my first post. all oem hids are 4300k, i dont care what color they appear to be, yes i know the higher the temp goes up, the purpler the color, and the less light they give out. but that blue you see is the light refracting (scatter) from the projector cut off, if you look at it dead on over level ground, it will be bright white, not blue, so that proves the bulbs are 4300k.
