  • Info on the 82 Rabbit on CanadaTrader

    Hey guys,

Do any of you Calgary guys know anything about this ride? Is it worth it?
I'm looking for a project car and its getting increasingly difficult to find an MK1. My first order of buisness would be a new paint job

I think it was posted here before (it's likely the same one)

Sorry, don't know much more than that but with not knowing what the body work is like under the paint (you can see some rust starting to come through in the pic) i'd go over it really well. Not saying it's not worth it, just saying.

I would put it on a hoist and take a good look at the floor. If the seats don't touch the roof when you lift the car up It may be a car worth buying.
I'm not saying it's a bad car, nor have I seen the car in person. I'm just pointing out things you should check out. Typical Rabbit sore spots.

I saw the car in a movie theatre parking lot about 5 years ago and from what I remember then it it was a good looker from 20 feet but once you got up on it you could see issues. They had some good ideas but it seemed like a lot of corners got cut along the way. I would say to look it over really well and then decide if it is something you want to tackle.
