    hey....
Haven't had my Jet thru a winter yet - can't find the block heater cord. Any ideas where it may be tucked away?

You probably don't have a block heater.

          hmmm.

VW Dealership verbally told, and billed my sister for a block heater when she got her car.

When winter came around she couldn't find the cord. Suprise suprise, they didn't actually install it!

Are you saying that my car's gone 4 winters with no block heater?!?!? Not cool. I can't find the cord anywhere.

The other place you might want to check is the openings in the lower valence. Might be zip tied to one of those.

If all else fails, look for the heater on the bottom of the oil pan.

the other possibilty is oil pan impact and because the oil pan heater is non-
transferable you never got a new one..

The old ones are transferable because they used a bracket that was held on by the oilpan bolts. If there are chunks of metal around the bolts it more then likely broke off. They where prone to breaking and falling off onto the plastic cover etc so they stopped using them.
