does it specify directly that the tint is illegal or is it vaguely worded like "thou shall not obstruct a police officer's vision into the cabin of the car" ?Tim

Its illegal. If you are pulled over and a police officer decides it is a problem, you may be asked to remove the tint on the spot (in addition to the ticket).Originally posted by zillaKR

typically its a reason for an additional ticket if you are a prick when they pull you over for something else, but ya.. definatley illegal. I guess it mounties in Red Deer are particularly bad. Sask I think 50% and less is ok, BC and AB its no tint at all up front.
.. that said, i had mine tinted yesterday

RCMP in rural alberta are pricks about tint and honestly have nothing better to do so they will pull you over just for it which is weaksauce ..in calgary the city police are fine and dont' really care from my experiences.. they may complain about the tint if your are pulled over for driving like an assComment

Pulled over twice for tint in cal - nothing else. But not since the tickets went up. Be prepared to pay the tint tax though.

Yeah i've been pulled over a few times too, once he cut the tint with a blade. In Sask they pulled a uie and came after me just for the tint, and he didnt like the radar detector .... the cop told me you cant have tint because if you get into an accident the tint stops the saftey glass from breaking properly??? i dunno thats what he said..Originally posted by KhyronBrendan
