    When I was growing up we had a wood Furnace (not stove, Furnace in the basement), it's back up was Oil.

      Yeah, I'm just having a big brain fart when it comes to this. So essentially, the principle is to open the vents with the end of the nozzle, and fill from outside of the filler flap. This means that the fuel going into the tank will be going through the vents (which IIRC are pretty small), and you can't actually see how full the tank is...
      I'm trying it tonight, let's see how covered in diesel I get
      You pic was crazy, lol. It didn't slow the filler flap, so it left me a little bit confused. Although, that is some mad MS paint skills!

        Umm, no!!!

        This is for diesels only. They do not have filler flaps.

          They do have a filler flap. That little metal plate inside of the filler neck....

          Anyhoo, I finally figured it out, I squeezed about 5.1L extra in before it burped a bit of foam up and I decided that was enough

            ?? No filler flap in my car, maybe they put it in the newer ones.
