  • Motor Mounts?

Hi, wondering about motor mounts, and if anyone with mk4's have upgraded theirs. I get a lot of wheel-hop and bouncing around under heavy acceleration, especially if the road isn't smooth (like evey intersection Calgary). I'm wondering if this instability could helped with stiffer motor mounts. I also need new tires, which doesnt help... but I am curious how motor mounts effect handeling.

It's more likely your bad tires + weak stock suspension. I have mounts but the vibration is a pretty big difference. Some hate it.

what have you done as far a suspension goes? i have 110000km on my car, and that had included its share of rough rides, so worn suspension is not out of the question.

Yah I got the FK kit - it was cheap and not too harsh. I'd find out what the TDI guys are running though. Some eibach springs and bilstein shocks would work well. Definately do both springs and shocks at the same time - labour is a pain.
