Whos ready for winter?? (over ambitious photos inside!)
Whos ready for winter?? (over ambitious photos inside!)
Had to test fit some skies today....too bad I didn't have 2 sets, it would look damn good.....I almost want to leave them in there!! And I know, my pics suck....still learning the camera....
Re: Whos ready for winter?? (over ambitious photos inside!)
Looking good Alex!!
I am waiting on winter tires still, they seem to be a little hard to come buy considering there are 4,000 plus Smarts in the country and they all come with summer rubber from the factory :( Other than that I am ready to go I think.

I've been there a couple times, nothing worth my money though, found an ok womens one that I almost bought for my wife.
The one I want is a Burton 167 wide for like 200 bucks off.
Re: Whos ready for winter?? (over ambitious photos inside!)
Waiting to hear back from someone on some wheels - might go 17" set up for winter - but if I don't hear back by the weekend I'm throwing on the steelies.
Re: Whos ready for winter?? (over ambitious photos inside!)
Yeah, my summers where all but blown out when I pulled them off....I wan't in the market for new 19" rubber.....plus, like tintin said, safety first! Glad to see someone actually thinks that way....sometimes we are all too bent over cosmetics and looking good.....I think winter mode actually can look good too, and I'm trying to acheive a balance (even though its an all OEM look)
Re: Whos ready for winter?? (over ambitious photos inside!)
yeah, winter wheels on soon.. wait, those are the same as my summer wheels. Ah well, get the winter tires on anyways, and put my shiny '06 rossi B2's on the roof .

Re: Whos ready for winter?? (over ambitious photos inside!)
I'll probably switch over this weekend assuming I can get the garage clear of crap. But yah, switching wheels takes 20 mins and if there's a chance of snow I'll flip early.
Alex are you post processing the photos cause the 2nd one looks like you went nuts on the saturation slider. Recommend just cropping for awhile as different monitors make the pics look better or worse.
Re: Whos ready for winter?? (over ambitious photos inside!)
Looking good Alex. We'll have to go out some time this winter, and I won't hold it against you that you have two boards instead of one . Welcome to my world of numerous rock chips... regular trips to the mountains in the winter do that to a person :(.
Ryan, if you are indeed throwing down 540s I bow to your skill. How are you in the steep and deep with a few trees thrown in?
Jason, if you need a temporary board until you can afford to buy one, I have a burton custom 64 you can use. It's in cherry shape, but the edges are not too sharp (and can't be sharpened any more so I bought a 2nd board). I have extra bindings too if you need those as well.
