stock airbox 4 life

today i got bored and decided to reinstall my stock airbox and the rest of the jazz to go with it.. it was pretty easy.. removing the battery to get the CAI out was a pita but i remembered how so it was okay..

impressions.. umm car seems oddly faster.. but that could be my imagination.
its a TON quieter.. like soooo quiet.. i like it...
no more pushssp pusshhs pushshs sound tho..

umm other than that i have the stock paper filter in that is 100% new so its probably better with a K&N or something in there..

oh yea i tried to ghetto tubing mod but i couldn't get it to work very well with my pzwo front opening so i had to kill the idea.. oh well..

Hmm, this kinda reminds me of a thread I started a while back, but got trashed in! Glad you like it, hate to say I told ya so!

yea alex.. there is also some funky carbon fiber bmc airbox but its like 225US or something crazy like that.. it apparantly works awesome but IMO our stock boxes are designed quite well already..

well they did before we have to take out the stock snorkel to get the CAI in, did you put the snorkel back when you put the airbox back?

yea i put all the stock airpath stuff back in.. i tried teh ghetto tubing but it won't work with my pzwo front.. cuz the openings are smaller compared to stock..

I think yer nutters to sell the samco - it's performance and it's stealth. Good choice on the airbox though, welcome back to the club.
