they are not hand built!!! sorry. but come pick me up for a ride when you get it, 500 machine built hp is ok with me too

edit: according to top gear, my hear-say . they said amg makes something like 50,000 "amg" engines a year, so figure out how many that is per shift... so if they were nonstop 3 shifts per day, all year long, that means they have to make about 46 engines per shift. i guess its possible if they use like 300 chinese workers or something lol.

pics? nevermind i just found it on benz.ca

kinda cool looking.. lots of power for a little car but it says 0-60 is like 8 seconds which makes me think it must be heavy.

Saw one at the dealership the other night when we were there. It wasn't the turbo - just a bog standard B200 - and to be honest, I was NOT impressed at all.

Sure it's a Benz, but it seemed very cheap inside. Even though $40K isn't too much to spend on a car these days there are far better cars to get for the money in my opinion.

Long live the E55 in all its 9mpg glory!!!

got to drive one of these bad boys a year and a half ago when my old boss went to the airport and made me drive him there and then take his car home. the only word to describe the car is mind boggling. i have been in an SL55 AMG before (at the limits on the highway) and that was one thing, but this is a whole different car. its as big as a boat, or so it seems. but it still has no problem throwing you back in your seat and EFFORTLESSLY climbing through the double and triple digit speeds like friction never existed. inside even at full throttle you have to have the window down to hear any kind of engine noise. it was definetly a car that surprised the pants off of me
