And werd to timbrtown, that's where I got mine too. It was that crazy German stuff.
I am sure >50% was labour even if it is easy to install.

Non-laminate hardwood floor install i would wish on no man.

Real hardwood isn't bad either, but its definitely more work, and takes alot longer. I helped james put hardwood in his condo and it wasn't too bad. Glue sucks balls tho. Still not worth paying someone else to do IMO

Amen. Luckily, we nailed and glued so only in the tiny corners are 'all glue' (thats when it starts getting 'creaky')...For my entire first floor to be done (cept for kitchen and entrance which are tiled)including rental equip and beer it cost me just over 3k for 3/4inc thick hardwood...and not the skinny boards either, ite 3 1/4 wide badboys..only took the weekend but I had lotsa help

I love how this thread went from wife vs. VW to laminate/hardwood floor installation--man, there's nothing you people don't know how to do!!!!

My Jetta goes in to Fountain Tire (across from NLV) next Wed, to get the front suspension replacement work done!!!

The laminate flooring proved to be too much ($$$) for us, so we will continue saving, and maybe try for the flooring next year. HOWEVER, this flooring setback now diverts some cash from our savings account, for my Jetta repairs!!! We also recently replaced our fridge and dishwasher, thanks to Trail Appliance's scratch and dent sale!! WOO HOO!!!! (when one door closes, another one opens!!)

              WTF?????

Fountain Tire just phoned--they say the stut mounts and shocks are fine!!!
I was told when the car is on the hoist, the strut mounts will appear loose, as there is no weight on them, and that there was no leakage detected from the shocks..... NLV told me about the struts and shocks previously, and also a $950 fee it fix it all....

I am now SERIOUSLY wondering about some NLV techs' abilities.......

Fountain Tire said when I get there after work, if there is a free hoist, they will show me struts and shocks...

Could NLV be THAT MUCH out to lunch on this one???
