hey guys today someone was learnign how to drive a standard in my car i dont know how i agreed to it but it happned

well this is what happned the person was about to reverse from a standstill and forgot to push in the clutch and just put the gear shifter straigth to first or reverse or seomehting i dont rememeber wihtouth pushing in the clutch....my car just a sorta made a loud clunk type noise and just stalled.....do u guys think that damaged my car??

please guys thsi is driving me insane

no.. they just ground some gears thats all.. just don't do it all the time

I did that once on a 91 golf when I was 14. Unfortunately we needed to drag the car out of the driveway to tow it because it completely destroyed the transmission.

Having said that, it was covered by warranty because it shouldn't break anything.

damn man im so pissed off....like this is what exactly happened as i was a bit too tired when i posted this message last night....he was trying to put it into reverse but withouth pushing the clutch in, and i think right when he moved the gearshifter to take it into reverse the car just stalled like he didnt fully get it into revervse he was just about half way there when it stalled and he put it back into neutral then


im so pissed off man

Don't worry about it too much man. It shouldn't have damaged anything too bad, just don't do it all the time like Ryan said
