Driving home last night around midnightish I see this car trailing me and I'm doing a good speed so we drive all quite a ways until finally reaching a stop light... turns green & I realize he wants to race so we start going at it but the next light goes red... we wait........................................ GREEN! its on... he darts forward while i'm still accelerating before boost comes then wheel SPIN... second gear... LAAAGGG, WOOSH - SPIN, third gear... whoosh spin... after I finally get traction in 3rd i blow past him which up until that point both our cars were quite even.
next final light...
I delicatley slowly acclerate in 1st making sure not to go above 10PSI until 5000RPM... he is basically crawling away from me at this point... second gear I let the car see about 15PSI upto 5000RPM and this is where the transition takes place and I start walking past him... 3rd gear, I let all hell break lose and let the car see 20PSI to redline and in a short few seconds he is nothing but a distant glimmer headlights light which thought jettas were slow.
when we stop again at nosehilldrive and countryhills intersection he says. "dude, you're car is fast. like its really fast"
I said, thanks, and drove away.
I need slicks.
