Re: Fun at the gas station.

apoh: heheh, yeah its good to be driving a Diesel these days for sure. Prices are still stupidly high (I remember paying like 57.9 a couple years back....those were the days) but at least they are not as high as gas prices.
I was about to fillup at Superstore @ Southland Drive but it seemed that they were in the midst of jacking up their prices...people were lined up...probably meaning they hadn't jacked up the prices yet..I was waiting in line for 2mins and then the owner came out and said price of diesel is NOW 93.9. After hearing that I was outta there.
Ended up filling up at Wal-Mart down in Shawnessy for $37.00 at a price of like $0.81/L after discounts or whatever. Not bad I guess....but never ever thought prices would be so high.

Hey there youngin I remember when I had my 5.0 4v that would suck back 120 litres a week during average driving. Fortunately it took regular, and gas was 29.9 a litre.

        well folks, couple things:

        i) everytime i see these fuel posts, i'm laughing at you complainers,

ii) time to convert your cars to propane, like people used to do, and i bet will start doing again, buahaha. thats what they are starting to do in europe, diesel here is over 1EUR/L and regular gasoline is 1,20EUR. when i was in vacouver a really long time ago, back in like 96, propane was like 5cents/liter at some gas station omg.

I'm certainly not complaining. It sucks, yes, but I have known that this day would come. We have had it way too good for a long long time.

I have a feeling that if the oil companies start showing profits that are 'too high' that the government is going to jack taxes, but not until oil stabilizes.

All I have to say is: Hot damn for bio-diesel!

Have any of you Deez drivers tired making your own biodiesel? If so what does your car run like on that stuff? Do you have to make any modifications to your car to be able to run it?

Make it, run it, love it, no mods except for fuel filter changes cuz the BD cleans out the crap left over from petro diesel.

I have 5 55 gallon drums in my production refinery.. I can pound out 180 - 200 litres almost daily if I needed to.

Talk to Boy_Racer about an Upsolute chip... I have heard it produces similar results (somebody correct me if I am wrong)

I think you are wrong on that Bart. I believe it has been proven that biodiesel runs cleaner and with a HP increase. Hell that "Trucks" episode I watched he said the truck smoked less, smelled better and had a noticable increase in power.

what chaps my ass is that I know people in the industry and they say the gas everyone is paying 1.13 for right now was bouight at 40dollars a barrel or whatever, with the stockpiles they have its estimated that we wont be pumping this 70 dollar/barrel crap in until FEB! Yes we have one or two users with the dieselpower box but I think most people opt for a chip... same idea. If they are known for anything Upsolute is known for their TDI chips and Boy Racer is the calgary rep.

                                They don't stockpile gas....

If there is oil stockpiled its worth 70/barrel now even if they didnt buy it for that much from the oil suppliers.

Why would they maintain selling gas using the 40/barrel price when they could just resell the oil to someone who wants the oil for 69/barrel....

supply vs demand... has to work that way.

Anyway, dont think gas makers stockpile oil either
