i'm looking at an a2 gti again. can anyone give me an idea what i should be expecting to pay for a decent 89.5+ gti, either 8v or 16v?

I highly suggest the 16v, availability is the hardest part, seems like a decent A2 would be hard to find...

That's probably pretty close, I think you could find an 8v for cheaper but you'll probably have to wade through many a crappy one to find a decent one.

A couple pop up now and again on CVD but not sure how good of condition they are.

ryan, i'm not selling the s4. my brother needs a new car and i'm trying to steer him away from the jap stuff. thanks for the reply everyone. it's a little out of his price range right now so i'll tell him to keep saving!

There was a MK2 8v on CVD the other day for 5 grand, looked like it was in good shape (I mentioned it here before).
