Hey guys i was just thinking about what my next mod would be for the golf and i thought lambo doors would be pritty original.. just wanted to know if anyone new where i could get some lamboghini hindges for my 2001 golf 2 dr... if anyone knows anything about this conversion please help me get it done!!! thanks

no, don't do it. it's not original, its been played out totally, and I will mock you if you do it. but if you do want to do it, get a good kit like HPA's

According to the website simon linked 1899 (i'm assuming US) plus i'm sure it requires someone competent to install it

Screw played out. How many Golfs in Calgary have it. None? Certain people should not talk about mods being played out, and by that I mean almost everyone...

But if you do a crappy job of it, your doors won't close properly and will rattle when you drive, and the hinges will bend after a few months, and you will regret it for the rest of your days in your car.

Therefore if you decide to do this, go all the way and buy the most expensive kit you can find, and have it installed by an expert if you can find such a person. 2 grand US at least.

Also it will look silly if your car is not totally show worthy, so you should probably have (at the very least) a full kit on the car plus really nice wheels first...

rods/pistons - 1600 US
clutch kit - 800 US
limited slip diff - 850 US
which is 8372US so not 12k lol i was exageratting that

plus install.. so probably close to 10k canadian tho.. i could probably knock a good 3k off that price if i go custom turbo kit tho.. so i'll see how yours works for you.

You need rods and pistons? You're not going THAT big are you? Cause that is going to cost a LOT to have installed, probably as much as the whole rest of the turbo kit combined.

dom and kris said the apr 3+ kid should have reinforcements with it cuz people on vortex are blowing their engines.. i could just do the regular 3 kit but for 500 more you get alot more power.

You can get the rods/pistons/LSD cheaper I bet... but yeah that is a lot to do.

I would do the engine work after, first dyno and see what the 3+ makes and if you need it or not... if you read APR's site tho they do recommend internal upgrades with the 3+...

install will match that for a really good job
