      I got transfered to a new location about a month ago... I sat there for two weeks watching network traffic and ensuring that the internal systems were working on the new system/network... In two weeks I probably did 5 minutes of real actual work. I didn't have a single customer in that whole time and other than an internal SonicWall crapping the bed I didn't do anything technical... It was the most boring 40 hours a week I have ever experienced...
      Well they wised up and moved me back to the hell hole and put a new guy in the new place and pay him half of what I was getting paid to sit there and scratch himself...

      Moral of the story... Don't let your superiors find out that you are bored! Always look busy!
