    Re: Moving Battery to Trunk

why not just rip out your interior, peel back the carpets, and run some 0 gauge wire through the inside to the firewall? That's how I've done it in the past (2 vehicles...)

i hope you are not confusing me with one of the escalade guys.

truth be told, i have 0 gauge power cables running under the truck and i go through bushes, over logs, rocks, branches, water and everything in between. it's not the best thing, but if you secure it properly and install proper fuses, the chance of it getting it caught and short circuiting is much reduced.

O.k. here's the deal on the battery relocate.
I have done this in 3 cars, most recently on my last Corrado.
Do not use anything but a Gel Cell battery(optima), you will not then need to vent of cover this battery and you can mount it any way you desire.

Next, do not mount the wire under the car, unless of course you like rust and water in your car. Run the wire thru a grommet in the fire wall. I used 0 ga Clarion braided and shielded competition stereo wire. It was extremly thick but easy to bend around corners. Welding wire is really tough to work with and is not coated. Don't use it.

Next install a inline breaker or high amp fuse for safty.

If you need I still have the 20 odd feet of the 0ga wire that I pulled out of the Corrado whem I sold it. 50 bux its yours, cost on that stuff is over 5 bux a foot. Good deal if you need it.

$5 a foot, I think Ryan was just quoted upwards of $10 Hell if no one buys it I will for sure take it!
