    I say nix that stuff... if you look at the underside of the vehicle its all plastic, and the paint is clearcoated etc...

      My Volkswagen manual is very clear -- the car does not need any sort of additional rust-proofing or protection. The paint has a 12 year corrosion warranty already.

        Consumer reports says that protection stuff is a buttload of crap. The only thing that is worthwhile is scotchguarding the cloth seats which you can do yourself with a can of the stuff from Canadian Tire for $25.00.
