My HID bulb blew out for the second time and now i am thinking of taking the plunge and getting new headlights. Just wondering if the FK projector headlights at C1 are a good buy and what bulbs should i get with them. Will they be as bright as HID conversions?

Re: Headlight Question
honestly if you pay 500 for the FK lights which look decent mind you then you add on another 500ish for a GOOD HID kit you pretty much close to the price of OEM hids.. of course the FKs are smoked and come with angel eyes i dunno..

Re: Headlight Question
I'd stay away from the FK lights with the angel eyes... the lights themselves aren't to bad, but I've only had them for maybe 6 months and the angel eyes have pretty much died on me.
That and I find the beam pattern isn't all that great on them, if your going to be spending that much on them I'd suggest finding some of the Hella ones, there probably 100x better.2007 BMW 328XI

I will eventually get OEM HID, but now I cannot but I do want new headlights. A waste I know you will say but I want to get projectors of some sort right now angel eyes are a bonus. Just want a good looking light coming out of them and good visibility in the country.
So would I be right in saying either osrams or philips vision or whatever is the what bulbs to get, to get the cheapo xenon look but decent quality?Last edited by Swoosh2; 08-11-2005, 01:37 AM.Kenny

Re: Headlight Question
I have the FK projectors and I actually like them, if you dont get them with the stupid angel eyes they're pretty cheap. I got them for $320 at C1's customer appreciation day sale. They're just projectors, so no HID required, they take regular H7 bulbs. I have silverstars in mine and they look VERY much like hids, the projector seperates the light a bit so you get lines of purple and blue sometimes on cars, and whenever I follow my friends they all drool for my lights.
That being said, the beam pattern isn't *that* great, its a nice solid line though. But for the money, I'd definately do it again, they look awesome.
