no seriously yea the 150 vs 180hp 1.8t.. umm i think its the same engine code still but the 02 might be a awp instead of awd
other than that thats all i can think of.. yea and k03 vs k03s
I believe they have different turbos too but they both make the same HP when chipped.

AWD -> AWP
In-dash cassette/CD player became standard on all but GL models for '02.
VW's "bumper-to-bumper" aka "craptastic" warranty now 4 years/50,000 mi. vs. 2/24,000.

But an AWP ECU won't work in an AWW, so some of the sensors changed a bit too (yep, I tried it).
AWW and AWP has the variable cam timing (VCT) stuff (for emissions) whereas AWD's don't have VCT. AWD also has the k03 turbo (although a slightly larger downpipe than AWW).
I think there was a change in compression from one engine to the other too? Either AWD or AWW I think was 9.3:1 and it went to 9.5:1? I can't remember...

AWD and AWP had 9.5:1 compression, AWW had 9.3:1
AWD and AWP had 55mm downpipes, AWW had 50mm downpipes
