Sounds like you may have got some Tempura in the fuel line.....I hate when that happens.

Seriously though, good luck sorting it out, I hope you find the problem.

            Re: plugged filter

It is possible that long-term use of biodiesel could potentially clog up a few fuel filters until all of the previous sludge is out of the tank/system, depending on the previous quality of diesel and the number of km/age of the car. Pure biodiesel acts like a detergent and will clean out the system. I'd just change it and see if it makes a difference.

Just for the record, this is a *good* thing...lets you know that your biodiesel is cleaning out the system. Wish there was a retail biodiesel pump in town, even B5.

              Re: plugged filter

I swapped the filter and it didnt help (so now I have a filter for the next change down the road). The guys at Darsh suggested it might be the solenoid on the pump, but it primes when I turn the key so its getting power, maybe just not enough. I will try to borrow a volt meetr this evening and test the pump, then go from there. Back up plan is tie it to the SUV and pull it to Darsh to get done by the pros.

The easiest option is the conversion to use the CAT 2 micron filter in the stock location.
                See here

The CAT filters are around $15 a pop from the CAT dealers and are as good a quality fuel filter as one can get. It is a bit of a squeeze in teh stock location, so a bit more pain to change but it should help the injector tips last a lot longer.

I have this setup but took it out as the car would stall all the time. I was using the old washers though but just haven't put the setup back in from when I took it out after the accident.

                    Re: plugged filter

I've had it for 2 years. No problems. Disected the last filter after 32000 kms. Looked to around 20% dirty.
