  • Stupid seats.

Okay, this did not happen on my '00 Passat, but the seat mechanism was different from my GTI...

When I adjust the seat back angle to the spot I like it always returns to a given lower angle within a day. I tend to have the seat closer to a 0 degree angle than the 15-20 degree 'natural' angle it comes to rest at. The fact that I have to adjust it every freakin day and find that perfect spot again and again is really pissing me off.

    Anyone else get this?

I'm talking about the hand crank wheel on the side, but I do also notice the seat height drops too. I just attributed that to my big ole ass. Plus it's easy to adjust the seat height as the level clicks are finite but the seatback angle is infinite.

I get this same thing... I don't think I'm a very heavy guy, but apparently too heavy for these seats... Maybe its some kind of "safety" release or pressure release...
