First let me appoligize to swoosh for hurting his feelings or iritaiting him with my questions or remarks.
Next, I'd like to understand why people feel like it's ok to "diss" a dealership and it's employees, but the second someone questions the ligitimacy of the diss, the thread is closed. Is it not ok to find out what the driver was doing to his car in order for that problem to occur? Is it not ok to probe and question, and possibly hear more of the story or even the WHOLE story.
I was trying to be a little subtle, but I guess that my point about the age discimination was...are you battling with your insurance company to get your rates lowered based on the fact that you are 18 and a really good driver, and you really shouldn't be paying higher premiums based on your age and sex? But I guess if your not paying your insurance, you don't care.
My point about the slanderous remarks (I'm in the proccess of litigating against someone for very similar reasons) is that unless you KNOW and have PROOF, then you really shouldnt say it or write it. Do you know if NL is disciminating against all 18 yr olds? or just you? You can say/write that you FEEL or THINK it's age discimination, but you can't just say that it IS age discrimination, unless you have proof.
I would also like to point out, that people react to people. IF you went into NL with a poor attitude (and I'm not saying you did), then the person behind the counter will respond with a poor attitude. If you treat people like they are PEOPLE and not just some loser behind the counter, they will treat you the same way. Respect is earned. Unfortunatly respect often comes with age and experience, only because, the older you get, the more you learn how to treat people and SUCCESSFULLY interact with people. There are so many experesions that repeat that... "you catch more bees with honey"... "treat others as you would like to be treated yourself"
Swoosh, let me appoligise again, I'm sorry that you feel that I didn't understand or whatever, it was not my intention. However, if you have problems with you car or a dealership and you bring it to a forum, you should expect some reponses that you don't neccesarily like or agree with. So many people on that thread said in way nicer ways, exactly what i said. They even gave suggestions about how to shift properly and what to ask the guy at NL to show you. You basicly brushed off the suggestions. And in your response to my post, you wrote that you "don't care" several times which makes me think that you really don't, especially because you don't pay for it.
You only have what you take care of. And, when you actually have to pay for something, you will have a much greater apperciation for that thing, and you will take very good care of that thing (doesn't only apply to cars).
So Sorry.
