^^^ Are you for real? How are we seriously supposed to do that?

    How's this:

"I'm not overly happy with VW in its current state... but since you don't want me to go into major specific things on how they could do better, i'm not able to tell you how vw can do better."

I posted How I Felt VW Could be Better, Better Customer Service, Car Improvements would also make it BETTER. I Love Driving my Car just don't like the treatment at the dealerships and for recall work. If you feel I'm too Specific I will delete that needs to be Deleted.

I don't feel this is a gripe and groan thread either I think People are stating how they feel about VW and the VW products, how dealerships never get dealt with, and how they are treated nasty.

Better service at the dealer, recall letters, coupons for service discounts when applicable, and more engine/drivetrain options. I still can't figure out why they don't offer a TDI with the 4-motion. Given the snow and icy roads here in the winter, I think they should be offering a 4-motion option on every car (R32 *cough* *cough*).

^ WERD TO THAT. If 4mo was available on my car I would've ordered it that way for sure.

^^I also totally agree. Not only would I have ordered my GLI with 4-mo, it would've been a bigger sale for VW as well. Because you know that they are making a butt-load off the set-up in other countries.

To some things up really all VW needs to do is offer better products, options and choices and provide better service

                    Re: VWoA wants your input

I'll add my .02....I too have been treated soso by the dealerships, not doing the work that I requested, poking around into everything else, attempting to change my aftermarket parts for OEM ones on warranty because of a MIL (??). I have had them do lots of good work too, and fix stuff on my request. My problem is, I'm afraid to go to the dealership for fear I would have my warranty voided. I have lots of problems that remain on the car, and don't want to go to the dealership because of this. Engine and option packages is another point, ex. the TDI sport Jetta was a great idea! Build on that, and do other quirky combos! Increase the amount of options that you can get here, to match the european market. Why can they get HID's, NAV, Recaro's, 4mo, all on their golfs as options? I would love these! The R32 needs to continue in production, onto a good thing there...I also agree with the earlier post about the minivan market, but I have already posted my opinion in another thread here about the touran's and sharons....otherwise happy, for now...

-stop marking up the OEM parts so much
-dealerships need a HUGE overhaul including:

-competant PARTS people, service techs can be great but if your parts guys dont know **** we are just as screwed
                      -options available on new cars

                      -recalls and addressing known problems

                          Re: VWoA wants your input

I went in to NL the other day to take a friend to see a spiffy 05 Golf TDI to replace his old broken ass POS.

I had the 'joy' of seeing the salesman that sold me my GTI. What an unbelieveable a-hole. Upon discovering that we may not be purchasing the car TODAY he pretty much 'turned off'. We had to pry to get keys to pop a car open, poke and almost whine to take it for a drive, had to insist that a couple blocks up the street was not sufficient for a test drive, etc etc. We even had to prod the sales guy to give us prices (retail prices, not even negotiated prices) and brochures for the car.

There is a chance he may still buy from NL, but only if he can squeeze an almost painful price out of them.

Tell VWOA to make their sales force stop acting like weasely car salespeople. I was disgusted by that treatment.

Well I just read the Len Hunt is leaving as head of VWoA and going to Bentley, with the Bentley head Adrian Hallmark taking Hunt's place. Wonder what this means for all the stuff that has occured over the last few months.

Something regarding a rug and a sweeping motion comes to mind . Len was probably doing too much listening, not enough golfing to be on the VW side.

The new guy is coming from Bently apparently he turned their sales around, he is 43 and Len is 49 who is going to Bently.

Tuna I agree with you on that one.
