i downshift everyday all day everytime i slow down, and my clutch is no worse for wear. you rev match properly and it shouldn't be an issue at all.
either a) you cant drive stick right, or b) this guy is talking out of his ass.

the more i hear, and deal, with northland the less i want to experiance from them.

Ya well I do downshift on occasion and I know perfectly well how to drive stick and everything. Ya I know you have to match your rmps with ur speed and everything. This guy is definately full of crap and yes he is talking out of his ass. Once again its Age Discrimination. And sick of this crap. So they wont be getting any more business from me.

take him for a ride in your car and ask him exactly what you are doing wrong with the clutch. that should **** him up pretty quick

Rick is a pretty good guy but he is getting the heat from corperate (and he will tell you that) He knows cars (had a bmw repair shop) and one day i asked him about chips, exhaust, big wheels etc and he thought that it personally was cool but he still works for VW. He is an easy guy to get along with. I'm sure he will try to help you out if ya don't piss him off. He talks tough but when the customer see's him face to face he's easy going.

Well he may be a good guy didnt seem like it when he was lecturing my mom on the way I drive, and how I do everything wrong when driving. He can think mods are cool and he doesnt know I even have mods on my car, so knowing what they do doesnt mean anything at this point. And as far as help didnt seem like any chance in that as he kept blaming my age. There is not one way anyone was lippy with rick so he couldnt have been pissed off, unless he was taking out his rage from another customer on us which is still BS. And if he keeps trying to bs my mom and me around and play the age blaming game maybe we'll have to set up a "meeting"

Does corperate send out memos telling employees to increase hostility, or do they call them into the bosses office and say that the next 10 customers had better leave dissatisfied?

Hah! Reminds of the old cop shows where the boss pulls them into the office and yells at them for 10 minutes, and tells them if they screw up again (in this case do more warranty work) they are OUTTA THERE!!

And then another guy named rick or something talked to my mom on the phone. And this rick guy tells her that I was down shifting to much and all this other bs and I down shift maybe like twice a week I rarely downshift. And also he says that a clutch should last for 5 years. WTF is this guy talking about??? 5 years everyone I talk to doesnt last for more than 2 max. Well maybe some of you lucky ones it lasted 5 years. He asks my mom for my age and assumes all this cause im 18, he suddenly says ooh 18 he must downshift and do all this other crap and he says I dont know how to drive stick and to take a class. Im gonna go talk to this prick tmw at NL and see whats up. Sry for the rant just pisses me off that he just assumes cause im 18 I have to drive like crap and dont know how to drive and I downshift everytime I drive. Like wtf and in the last month ive driven like for 2-3 hrs a day just to and from work if that.

We'll see how it goes tmw.

Got my car back from NL the other day... had no problems with anything, and was treated very well. NL Rocks.

All the dealerships give us a discount and honestly the service is not much better at 5th ave and unfortunelty the new parts guys still have some things to learn.
Overall it seems like it is a crap shoot with any dealership in town.

Ive heard better things about 5th Ave over NL. My experience with NL has been nothing but crap, even when I get my car serviced for them to talk to me or find someone that works in service to talk to me its been about 30-45mins. Also they quote a time on A service like 1-2hrs tops,I was waiting there for over 3. BS

But thanks for the welcoming i guess you could call it, but my friends dad owns contemporary coach works and I am going to get work done there for a way better price and everything. Just hope that doesnt void my warrenty as well as NL told my friend that his warrenty was voided cause he didnt get his clutched fixed/installed by NL.
