  • VW Golf is Staying

    Hey All,
As Promised If Vw Refused to buy back my Golf and I was going to have to keep her I Promised I wouldn't complain anymore about any issues that come up. I can't say I'm not disappointed because I am But I'll live.

If you want to know what they offered me Well they offered 1, 500 towards a a new purchase or lease of 2005 or 2006 Golf GLS model. They also said if I refuse this they will still service the car under the warranty of the Car while It has warranty.

So this being said I'm keep her and I guess I'll put extra cash away to pay for some mods like Brushed Metal kit for the inside. I'm going to shop around for a block heater, or I'll call Rob at Westside to see what he can come up with for me.

      Re: VW Golf is Staying

Thanks Ryan But I can't I purchase a new one. My Golf well I'm already 19 thousand still in debt with the current Golf and my car has lost some value already. By buying another one I'll even be farther in debt than I can now.

Only other option to sell privately, and I just can't deal with that right now not with starting a new job. I'm going to go Work IKEA.

I'll hang in there it will be ok.

Hey, we all have problems with ours too! And that 1500 towards the purchase is not really a special deal either, so good on you for turning them down....Anyhow, about the block heater, take my advice and get a Temro circulating cannister heater, $70 at cdn tire, but well worth the money!! Read my thread on it here --> http://www.newveedub.com/forums/show...ighlight=temro

Congrats on Ikea, I love that place.....as witnessed by my other thread here! --> http://www.newveedub.com/forums/show...ight=roof+rack

I have an uncle up north in Quebec who swears by a similar system . . . very reliable and works all the way down to at least -45 C according to him. I'd get one, but we usually have fairly mild winters on the coast. Wind chill sucks BIG time, but cars don't mind the wind

Aleks HUGE Hugs Coming your Way you totally made my day!

Ok May seem like a Stupid Querstion but my Car is Gas not diseal will that make a difference? I only know about blockheaters from living in Manitoba for three years and then I had Domestic cars. I'm a west coast so no blockheaters there were required.

            Thank you so much!

Ok if I come to Calgary do you want to put mine in? LOL

Maybe I could ask Rob How much they would charge me at Westside? What a great little shop they are so friendly super helpful, I can't say enough good things about them. Those Guys have also helped me see the bright side of owning my Golf and services in there instead of the Big Guys.
