so i go to get my hood today and here is the story

DHL phones me up and says.. who is your companys broker.. i say oh this is a personal item not for my company.

oh okay well come here and get the forms and pay us 88.50

okay so i drive up to the NE.. pay DHL for god knows what and get some forms

i take the forms to canada customs to get a stamp so i can get my hood at the airport.

canada customs asks what my gst# is importer# blah blah blah
i dont' farking know for farks sake.. DHL said take this and do this..

well they do that alot and rip people off.. so i guess i have to be my own broker and phone some 1800 number and get a # assigned to myself..

sigh.. so i'll get my hood tommorow now.. what a PITA

phone my buddy in rocky ridge who has a truck to meet me in the NE and pick it up.. or tape the giant box to my roof and through all 4 windows and drive 25km/hr home

either way i don't have my hood and i'm depressed.. sorry guys no new pics until i get it installed

i dunno i just got off the phone with the govt and have my own business/importer # now the woman said this happens alot so its not a big deal i'm a little peeved tho.. now i just have to go back at lunch and get my package cleared.. sigh......

Well there are some people in the club with GST numbers You should have got it sent through Simon's broker in Montana, but cant wait to see it!

so i went to customs this morning.. what a joke.. i got a manager or something this time.. i told him what happened he gave the girl crap who i talked to yesterday and said it was no big deal being personal and she should have just stamped my forms for me.. but he grabbed the paperwork filled it all out for me stamped it all and i was on my way in 5 minutes.. so now i'm happy as a clam

brent is going to help me with a van to get the hood to his house for the install today.. i forgot to get my pins from tunerworks so i may skip out of work early to pick them up still.

total cost was umm 900ish cdn after it was all said and done and 50 bones for hoodpins..
