My plan was to sell the core if it was too big all along, but with the damage from UPS, I dunno anymore. I gotta knock off a lot from the price.

I am gonna take the bumper off after work and do some measurements I guess. Finding custom sized bar/plate fmic's with end tanks is not easy either! Most cores are way bigger than what fits on a VW.

        Re: Anyone know

I had the same problems when looking at a FMIC..
I ended up just spending a little more and getting a pre-fab'ed kit, that way I knew it would fit, and the specs would be correct for my set-up. Way less hassle with the piping as well...
I'd much rather spend a little more cash and know it will work the first time. I hate having to fuss around with things.

Yeah the issue with my core is width and length... it would fit if it was 0.5" thinner or about 8 inches shorter.

              Re: Anyone know

If your core is too long, why dont you get part of it cut off, and get new end tanks welded on? I can't remember where the damaged part of your core was, but could you possibly cut that part off? 8" is a lot of extra IC...

Yes I thought of this but pretty sure cutting and welding will cost same as a new one... not a super easy job. Maybe 6" off would be enough.
