Does anybody have any experience with putting nice exhaust tips on the Jetta pipes WITHOUT the cutout in the valence? You know, the goofy looking turned down double pipes. Where can a guy get some nice tips that'll work on there? Pics would be nice. Thanks!

    Re: Exhaust Tips

You can cut your own cutout in the valence, it actually can look pretty decent... you could have a body shop do it and paint the valence at the same time for maximum coolness.

Or you can come out under the valence. Basically you just.. umm... make the pipes come under the valence.

Yeah, I'll most likely come out under the valence....I just can't find any nice tips to go on there. Any suggestions?

Well any exhaust shop will have tips in any shape and size, there are round ones, square ones, oval ones, its just personal preference.

Actually I just looked into the cutout route on the weekend. The bottom plastic piece with cutout is only $100 (at Northland VW). They have plain textured black plastic or primed (maybe some painted). In stock.

If you go with tips, then get a cutout. No cutout=hidden tips.

Honestly stealth tips is better anyhow. Don't need a huge exhaust tip on a VW to make it look or sound good.

                  Re: Exhaust Tips

i agree with mike that if you have tips without a cutout it looks funky.. if you have no cutout hidden is key..

i love doms setup.. totally hidden and crazy as hell
