i might be getting some wheels shipped from van to calgary... what's the cost gonna be like?

I would guestimate that if you ship them greyhound you could get them here for under 100 bucks depending how big and heavy they are, but don't quote me.

To give you an example, I was quoted ~$80 to ship 4 15" steelies with rubber from Winnepeg to Calgary. If you give them the weight of one of the wheels they can get it pretty close over the phone.

Shipping UPS ground might be pretty cheap too since you're shipping from inside canada.

Rubber will be 80-110 lbs if I had to guess.

Wheels will be ~100 lbs.

I would say 200lbs.

S4 wheels are at least 25lbs each.... 200 total is a good estimate.

ok..... thanks for the help... here's what i put together.

2 boxes... @ 100lbs each = $113 for 3 day UPS service.

i shipped my OG longbeaches to a buddy of simon's out east and used UPS (ended up being the cheapest) at a measily 125 for all 4.. got there in 2 days.

2 tanks each way = $160 (1.8t --> 91 octane full tank = $40 )

Hotel = $120

Eating McD's 6 times = $ 36

UpS looks a bit better....

FedEx will ship Calgary to Vancouver 100lbs in a 25"x25"x20" package via Ground but guaranteed 2 days for $49. That should be plenty big I think.

Greyhound will ship Calgary station to Vancouver station on a bus, same day 100lbs max but width and height max is 23" for $51.30 per box. I doubt you can get your tires into a 23"x23" box... even if you can, FedEx is cheaper. If you go any larger on Greyhound you'll pay oversize fee and it will be $70ish per box.

Fed Ex seems your best bet.
