Don't be so quick to stereo type farmers, we arn't all bad drivers, and some of us even drive Dubs. and most of the rednecks in the city this weekend arn't farmers, thier ranchers or (cowboys) us farmers just grow our grain and Barley for making the beer and the bread everyone enjoys

I think Im happy to stereotype farmers as shitty drivers. They dont know how to drive in city circumstances 9 times out of 10. You dont have to pay as much attention when you're driving down roads that get traveled by 4 people a day in the sticks, a little different than deerfoot!

I would love to go on holidays this week, Stampede is not my favorite time, perhaps it just wears off after 28 years.

I think the main problem is there are just a lot of bad drivers in this town!!

I was able to be gone Friday through wednesday, so I was able to get away from most of it. If only we could have got a couple extra days.

Oh and about the farmer thing. I know a few farmers, they are really great drivers, better than what I see in Calgary a lot of times. But there are def some clueless ones too.

Yea because farmers only get to come to town 2 times a year you know, 1 for stampede and the other is when bossy the pig needs more slop.
Most farmers are in the city 4 times a week doing business. Did you ever figure that the guy hit you because the jackass was talking on his cell phone and not paying attention to traffic? Which from what I can see from driving around this city, happens quite a bit,

Oh I am pretty much certain it was due to his cell-phone use. At least that was the principal catalyst. Other factors were contributors after that.

I don't have a whole lot against farmers. My dad was a director/VP for Agrium, which if you don't know makes the majority of it's income, and therefore his income from farmers.

When one is out of their typical environment one must ensure they are paying more attention to the little details that may not exist in their typical environment.
